Gaming laptops used to be difficult to buy, not because they weren't available, but because they were often bulky and expensive. Luckily, the past few years have seen a boom in great gaming laptops, and you can get something as cheap as $600 that's actually able to play quite a few games. Because of this boom, though, there are hundreds of options and configurations, which is why we've gone out and collected some of our favorite deals across different budgets.

HP

It's not often that we see a gaming laptop that's so cheap, especially when it's coming with an RTX 3050 when usually these price ranges tend to have a GTX 1650 or equivalent. While the RTX 3050 isn't powerful, it's more than enough to get basic gaming done, especially with the big free-to-play games that are well-optimized for lower-end specs. You also get a mid-range i5-13420H, 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of storage, all of which are excellent for the price tag.

Acer's Nitro 5 has long been a popular pick for gamers on tight budgets. This model is $88 off at Amazon and features GeForce RTX 3050Ti graphics alongside a 12th-gen Core i5-12500H CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. The 15.6-inch display has full HD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

HP Omen laptop
HP/CNET

This HP Omen laptop comes with a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H and 16GB of RAM paired with a 1TB SSD. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU should ensure that games run nice and smoothly, while the 16-inch display should be plenty big enough for your mobile gaming needs.

Acer Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition with game character and motorcycle on the screen
Gigabyte

This Acer Predator model is based on a high-resolution 16-inch display and RTX 4050 graphics. The display offers an FHD resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 400nits of peak brightness, making it the perfect middle-ground in terms of display quality. Along with that you get the mid-to-high-end Intel i7-13700HX, which is perfect for gaming and productivity, while the 16GB of DDR5 RAM will give you a smooth day-to-day experience.

Dell

If you're looking for a great mid-to-high-end gaming laptop at a good price, this configuration of the G16 is perfect. It comes with the RTX 3070 Ti, which can easily handle the 16-inch 2560x1600 resolution, potentially at the 165Hz refresh rate, assuming a couple of graphical compromises. As for the processor, you get the Intel Core i9-12900H, which is one of the best in the market and gives this laptop a lot of versatility. You also get a massive 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of storage space.

Razer Blade 15
Razer/CNET

Razer is known for its high-end gaming laptops, and this configuration of the Razer Blade 15 is no different. It runs an RTX 3070 Ti under the hood, but more importantly, it has a QHD resolution and can hit an impressive 240Hz refresh rate. While the GPU might struggle to hit both those on the best graphical settings, it gives you the option to prioritize one over the other depending on what you play.

Alienware M16
Alienware/CNET

This Alienware m16 gaming laptop has a 16-inch QHD+ 240Hz display powered by the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU, one of the top 5 powerful GPUs on the market. You also get the high-end Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, 1TB of storage and a great 16 GB of DDR5 RAM. The whole thing even comes in a color dubbed Dark Metallic Moon. How cool is that?
